Journal Writing Workshops
This is some of the most fun Jean has in her work. She started with a writing group of cancer survivors while at the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. This blossoming interest took Jean to complete training at the Therapeutic Writing Institute with the Center for Journal Therapy in 2012. Over the last 10+ years, Jean has crafted and led topic-focused journal writing workshops. Those topics include, but are not limited to, sex & intimacy, body image, grief & loss and coping with the stressors of day-to-day life.

License Supervision
Giving back to the social work profession is a passion for Jean. Since 2010, she has supervised individuals working towards clinical licensure, master-level social work students and those already licensed and in the field. Jean served as the low-cost supervisor board chair for the Georgia Society of Clinical Social Work and has been a regular presenter about the licensure process in that state. Jean is certified as a clinical supervisor in North Carolina and is a board approved clinical supervisor in South Carolina.
LICENSE SUPERVISEE TESTIMONIALS
"I am glad to have had the opportunity to have Jean Rowe as a clinical supervisor. She challenged me to look at situations more critically in order to provide the most effective interventions, in addition to offering and exploring different perspectives as a medical social worker. My clinical experience with Jean made me grow as a clinical social worker. I would highly recommend!"

“Working with Jean as her supervisee to obtain clinical license was such a gift. Jean has an incredible way of inspiring growth while still feeling safe and cozy. She was exactly who I needed to help push, encourage, and develop me to the next level in my career. Jean continues to be there for me and having her in my corner and her voice in my head has helped me countless times. Take the opportunity to work with Jean! You won’t regret it!”
— Rebekah S.
“I had the pleasure of meeting with Jean for supervision weekly for several years. Our meetings were the perfect combination of case studies, DSM review and assigned readings relevant to practice. Jean was enthusiastic, helpful and always challenged me to set and meet my professional goals. Without her guidance and support, I wouldn’t be the social worker that I am today. Jean helped to instill confidence in my abilities as a social worker, and I will be forever grateful!”
